Have you always wanted an hourglass figure?

And decided you would like to hop into some waist training, except — does it even work?

Contrary to what many will tell you 'out of experience'... waist training works given worn properly.

People who never wore it right (or wore the wrong size) will tell you so because they weren't well-versed in this department (that’s why this blog is here to educate you)

When done right, that curvy hourglass figure WILL unveil itself, and those curves over the hips WILL be yours!

The question is: How do you ‘do it right' so that all that motivation and sweat amount to SOMETHING in the end?

If you want to know what results you can expect, read on...

What is waist training?

Waist training is the process of wearing a high compression garment or a waist trainer around your waistline to reduce waist size giving your body a sculpted look in a matter of minutes.

What is a waist trainer?

A waist trainer is a shaping garment used to target the abdomen specifically for the purpose of correcting the body shape, assisting in helping the posture, and achieving ultimately a more curvier body shape, and a “snatched” waist.

What to expect if first time wearing a waist trainer?

Trying your waist trainer for the first time may be difficult but once you’ve done the first hook the others can be fastened much more easily. And you'll get used to it with everyday use. Start hooking at the bottom of your waist moving upwards - this is the easiest way to wear your waist trainer. When it’s completely done up, the waist trainer should fit your midsection without feeling uncomfortable or any pain.

How to choose the right size of waist trainer?

To get the best results, your waist trainer should fit like a glove and should not cause any discomfort. It may feel very tight when you first put them on but don’t worry – your body will grow accustomed to it very quickly. Wear the farthest hooks for an hour or so then gradually add an hour or two to your regime until you are able to wear the trainer throughout the entire day. Make sure that you feel comfortable while wearing it, if you have any discomfort please adjust the tightness and lower the amount of time you are using it.

Here's our Size Guide to choose best fit.

Is it safe to wear a waist trainer? When to wear it?
You may wear a waist trainer during light exercise and as an undergarment.

For the best results, it is recommend wearing a waist trainer for at least eight hours a day, every day. By spending most of your waking hours in a waist trainer, you'll be practicing good posture, enjoying the benefits of a slimmer figure, and be more focused on your health and fitness goals.

Make sure that you feel comfortable while wearing it, if you have any discomfort please adjust the tightness and lower the amount of time you are using it.

What results can to expect from waist training?

You'll see instant transformation of your body specifically your waist as soon as you wear a waist trainer. You'll get a more defined hourglass figure and notice that you look a few size/s smaller. Of course, long-lasting changes to the shape of your waist while not wearing your waist trainer won’t happen until after you waist train for a while.

Waist training results depend on a lot of factors. Here are just a few:
How often do you wear your waist trainer?
How long do you wear your waist trainer each day?
How tight do you wear your waist trainer?
Are you following a weight loss regimen, like a diet or exercise?

Each body is different, and result may vary depending on the factors, how consistent and dedicated we are with our waist training.

How long does it take to see result?
If you follow a regimen and discipline yourself, a waist trainer can start showing results in as less than four weeks.

Waist training works best incorporating exercise and a balanced diet.

Are the results for wearing waist trainer permanent?

Waist training results are semi-permanent but with the consistency of use, waist training will have an effect on your overall body shape over time. As soon as you put it on, you can visually see the difference.

How long should a waist trainer be worn?

We recommend 4 hours to start with and then gradually add an hour or two to your regime until you are able to wear the trainer throughout the entire day. Make sure that you feel comfortable while wearing it, if you have any discomfort please adjust the tightness and lower the amount of time you are using it.

Can a waist trainer be worn overnight?

We would not recommend wearing the waist trainer overnight as it is more effective when you are standing or sitting up rather than lying down.

Will a waist trainer help lose weight?

You may temporarily lose a small amount of weight wearing a waist trainer, due to loss of fluids through perspiration.

You may also eat less while wearing the waist trainer as your stomach is compressed.

Waist training works best with appropriate exercise and a balanced diet. It is also a great way to supplement the long-term slimming goals from your fitness routine.

I have back/spinal problems. Can I still wear a waist trainer?
We have had many customers who use our waist trainer to aid with their back problems, scoliosis, and spinal issues so they don’t have to wear bulky medical braces. However, if you have any concerns, please consult your doctor beforehand.

I just had a baby! When to start using a waist trainer?
We recommend waiting 6 weeks after giving birth before you start waist training. If you have had a caesarian you will need to wait until you are fully healed as the waist trainer could be sitting on the incision. Please refer to our Guide to Post-Pregnancy Waist Training for more information.

Do I have to continue wearing my waist trainer when the result achieved?
As long as you want to maintain the results, so we suggest you to continue wearing a waist trainer.

How to wash & care a waist trainer?

Wash it regularly in order to maintain hygiene and so that the materials contract and maintain their highest functionality. You can wear a garment a couple of times in between wash cycles, just be sure to follow the care instructions for your garment.

Here's a step by step guide for Garment Care.

How to put waist trainer?

Hook from bottom up. Start hooking at the bottom of your waist moving upwards - this is the easiest way to wear your waist trainer. Here's a video guide on how to put on a waist trainer.
